Nomago takes over Italian company Alibus International

The Nomago group is further expanding its presence in the Italian market. The management of Nomago and the owners of the tourist-transport company Alibus International have signed a sales and purchase agreement for the acquisition of a 100% equity stake in the Italian company.

The acquisition of Alibus International is of strategic importance in the development of Nomago to becoming a leading mobility provider between Venice and Dubrobnik. With the inclusion of Alibus International, the Italian market will represent roughly 10% of Nomago’s revenue, and with organic growth and planned activities this share will further increase in the future.

From its establishment, Nomago has been closely linked to Italy, as the company has been carrying out passenger transport in this area for several years. In July Nomago introduced shuttle bus transport to Venetian airports. which was extremely well received by passengers. The company also serves passengers from cruise ships at the ports of Trieste, Venice and Koper. Nomago is the official coach partner for the Udinese Calcio Udine football team, the Alma Palacanestro Trieste basketball team, and the Frecce Tricolori aerobatic group.

“It was only a matter of time until we further expanded our operations in Italy, which is of strategic importance for Nomago. The acquisition of Alibus International is definitely a step in the right direction. I’m sure that our Italian subsidiary will also have excellent results in the future and the passengers will have an even better and more comprehensive service,” said the CEO of Nomago, Sandi Brataševec, M. Sc.

The current owners remain closely linked to Alibus International, as they will continue to perform management tasks within the company, and Sandi Brataševec, MSc., has joined the management.

Alibus International, with its headquarters in Pordenone, was established in 1986 and has a total of 80 employees. The company’s fleet consists of 41 buses and an additional 12 vehicles for passenger transportation. The company makes most of its revenue with occasional passenger transport, transport for schools, and transport connected to the Aviano air base. The company’s activities also include the organization of events, conferences and individual trips.
